MTM-1-TRAINING (Methods-Time Measurement)
MTM-1 is a Predetermined Motion Time System (PMTS). This means that each basic movement, depending on a possible influence factor, is equipped with a predetermined standard time. This is due to its generality, applicable in any industry where human labour is performed.
For who / admission requirements
Everyone who is working in the manufacturing industry, particularly the mass and large serial production and those who interface with working methods, work processes, standards times and planning. MTM is a perfect complement to Lean, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
There are no admission requirements for this training course.
MTM-1 is officially described as “a procedure which analyses any manual operation or method into the basic motions required to perform it and assigns to each motion a predetermined time standard which is determined by the nature of the motion and the conditions under which it is made”. Basic motions like reach, grasp, release, move, position, disengage and walk. These are subdivided 7 groups, to know: get and place, turn, apply pressure, disengage eye and body motions. This method and hierarchy level will be acquired by exercises, training material and films.
Objective and result
The participant is able to structure, plan, and design independently work processes by using MTM-1. The basis to improve methods and to establish effective the operation times during the development phase of products and tools.
Every participant closes with an examination. The diploma is recognized internationally.
If sufficient participants are registered for a public training, a venue as central as possible will be chosen. Besides we provide in-house trainings. By filling in the contact form you can ask for more information. Afterwards we will contact you.
